Portrait
I chose this picture because it kind of reminds me of an add for Under Armor. I had a hard taking a portrait of Cooper because he is at the point where he just doesn't want to sit still. Finding the right light for this picture was hard because it was taken in the car and the light was making it so bright or it was causing white parts on the photo.

Filter

This is our cat Nos, like nitrous oxyde nos. I did the filter distort, i chose the difuse glow and angled strokes. I didn't want to distort it to the point where he wasnt cute anymore, so i liked that it looks like he's a painting.
I was going to find something that looked mean and scary because he is the unfriendliest cat around. I couldn't find anything that did his temper justice.
Dodgeing
AFTER
Cooper had jaundice when he was first born so i went over him with the dodge tool, many, many times until i got him....white enough. I also went over the cat and Coopers blanket with the dodge tool to make sure they stood out. The i went over the toys and part of the bouncy chair with the brush under the hard light option....I ended up going back overthem a few times with the brush under soft light just to make it a bit more even.

2 Changed Photos

With this picture i started to play with the colors and change them here and there. Chris is on the left and Rob is on the right. Rob had really rosie cheeks in the picture and i was trying to get them to not be so red. I then found the Posterize option and clicked that. I have seen many pictures like this and never knew how they did it. I love the way it looks, although they look like poster children for reasons to not walk in a dark ally.

In this photo I auto colord the photo but then decided to do it in a black and white. i then went to then I went to the selective color option and made it a little red, a little blue and a little green. There are hints here and there but i didn't want the colors to overwhelm the image.

Landscape
This is a picture of an isalnd in Bar Harbor, ME. My boyfriends grandparents live right on the ocean in Bar Harbor so we go to visit them sometimes in the summer. We happened to stay the night at a hotel just outside of the ocean and this is the view we got to wake up to in the morning. It was breathtaking. This picture really doesn't do any justice. I didn't have a very good camera, and i can see now, after these last few weeks what a difference a good cameras effects have on photos.

3 Different Types
The recent storm that is still happening. It couldn't have been better timing. This was taken coming off the mountain. My boyfriend teaches snowboarding and I went up to get a lesson from him and on my way home decided to take a photo. It was in the afternoon, but the light makes it seem as though it's early evening. That's how i view it atleast.

This photo was taken earlier in the week. It was a clear evening and I was at my moms house and was just amazed at the sunset. It was like one of those sunsets where your on the highway and it's so perfect, and you should take a picture but can't because your on the highway. The layers of colors in the sunset are just so peaceful and calm. It was a cold night however. Beautiful just the same.

This photo was taken a weeks ago. We were driving and i had the heat venting facing the window and it was melting the snow and it was perfect. After taking the pictures of the roses and not using the flash, I put my camera to that setting so that the flash didn't bounce off the glass and ruin the picture. This one of my favorite photos.

My 2 Favoites
My 2 favorite pictures i chose were one of a sweatshirt burning and a bouqet of flowers.
I chose the yellow flower because it was so pronounced against the other flowers and green leaves. I seem to get a lot of photos with flowers in them, not sure as to why but they are just to beautiful not to i guess.
I really like the sweatshirt because it captured the flames perfectly. The orange is just amazing to me. This picture was taken at a "right time, right situation" type deal. I was luck to have witnessed an outraged g/f that way i could capture this photo.

My 2 Favorites
I forgot that I had to write about these as well. I chose these 2 photoes because i felt i got the best angles of the roses. These first 2 I got a good shot of the front and side of 2 roses that are different, but blooming at the same time the same way. They are both opening identically. The second photo is my fully bloomed rose that is just beautiful and faces me as i sleep. I am very lucky for having such a loving boyfriend that knows my favorite things! =)

I did my picutres on the roses my boyfriend bought me for our anniversary yesterday. They were just to pretty to not take pictures of. I like the ones of the vase on the floor because it made the pictures brighter. With this setting there is no flash so the pictures are dark. I don't think i have ever used this setting before, I don't dislike it, but i probably won't use it very often. I like the flash to make the pictures seem bright, I will probably use this setting when take close up pictures of Cooper so he doesn't look so pale white.

My Focus
I am so excited to start picture taking and posting. Just to let everyone my main focus will mostly be my son. I have 100's of pictures of him and he is so easy to get a good shot with because he is such a ham. I try hard to get other types of photos of the outdoors and what not but it's harder for me to do it seems. I will try to practice that type of photo taking more. So I just wanted to post this quick note, I am at work and cannot provide any photos at this time. Good Luck Everyone!
